Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run your books:

• Account details — your name and email, and a password (stored hashed).
• Your bookkeeping data — receipts and their images, transactions, categories, and the workspaces you create.
• Usage information — basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.

When you try the scanner on our homepage without signing up, the image is sent to be read and the result is shown to you — nothing is stored. Data is only saved once you have an account and choose to save a receipt to your ledger.

When you scan a receipt in your account, its image is read by an AI model to pull out the merchant, date, line items, and total. You review and confirm the result before it is saved. The image and the extracted figures are stored with your workspace.

We use your data to provide Kuwago: to read receipts, keep your ledger, build reports and estimates, send the emails you have asked for (such as password resets and monthly reports), and keep the service secure. We do not sell your data or use your bookkeeping content for advertising.

Each workspace is separate. Only the people you invite to a workspace — and give a role — can see its data. We access your data only as needed to operate the service or to help you with support.

We share data with a small number of providers who help us run Kuwago, only as needed:

• Cloudflare — hosting, storage, and the AI that reads receipts.
• Our email provider — to send transactional and report emails.
• Our payment provider — to process subscriptions (they handle card details; we do not store them).

We keep your data for as long as your workspace is active. If you close a workspace or ask us to delete your data, we remove it within a reasonable period, except where we must keep some records to meet legal obligations.

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Reach us at the address below and we will help. Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act you also have the right to object to certain processing and to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

We may update this policy as Kuwago changes. If we make a significant change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
